Chapter 17: Visitor

“Unnaturally still and white, with her large black eyes intent on my face, my visitor waited perfectly motionless in the center of the hall, beautiful beyond all imagining. My knees trembled for a second, and I nearly fell. Then…I hurled myself at her.”

Sheeeeeeeeee’s baaaaaaaaaaack!!! Stand up, round of applause, dance on a table, whatever you want to do because Alice is back Jack!

It’s as if no time has passed, Alice and Bella’s relationship (that we’ve learned from the final 2 books) is a relationship that runs extremely deep, deeper than a sisterly bond, there are really no words to explain it as depicted here.

~Pg. 382 “I locked my arms around her, gasping to inhale as much as the scent of her skin as possible. It wasn’t like anything else - not floral or spice, citrus or musk. No perfume in the world could compare. My memory hadn’t done it justice. I didn’t notice when the gasping turned into something else - I only realized I was sobbing when Alice dragged me to the living room couch and pulled me onto her lap. It was like curling up to a cool stone, but a stone that was contoured comfortingly to the shape of my body. She rubbed my back in a gentle rhythm, waiting for me to get control of myself.”
~
Pg. 383 Alice sighed. “I’d forgotten how exuberant you are,” she said her tone was disapproving. I looked up at her through my streaming eyes. Alice’s neck was tight, straining away from me, her lips pressed together firmly. Her eyes were black as pitch. “Oh,” I puffed , as I realized the problem. She was thirsty. And I smelled appetizing. It had been a while since I had to think about that sort of thing. “Sorry.” “It’s my own fault. It’s been too long since I hunted. I shouldn’t let myself get so thirsty.”
~
At this point Alice explains exactly why she returned to Forks & to the Swan residence. After seeing the vision of Bella jump from the cliff, Alice hopped on the first plane she could (thirsty and all) & headed straight to Forks. I simply love the fact that Alice’s first instinct was to comfort Charlie, even after all this time. The love she has for Bella still lives on.
~
Pg. 385 “I watched curiously as an enigmatic range of emotions flitted across her face. Something was bothering her-her imperfect vision? But I wasn’t sure. Then she deliberately leaned in and sniffed my shoulder. I froze.” See what the hale I mean folks? Let’s just keep repeating this to ourselves: Alice loves us, she would never hurt us…Alice loves us…She would never hurt us.
~
Pg. 386 Don’t you just love the rapport between these two? Their comfy conversations are just so easy breezy, back and forth, very matter-of-factly, like Bella isn’t sitting there talking to an extremely thirsty vampire.
~
Pg 387 Apparently Bella smells. I mention it, because its our first real look into the whole vampire smell sweet…too sweet until it burns your nose, and the wolves smell awful like wet dog issue. The whole thing is too funny to me, especially the way Jacob gets all wound up when he smells the vamps. This is also where Bella goes in to deep detail about her friendship with the wolves, since the Cullen’s have been away. “Leave it to you Bella. Anyone else would be better off when the vampires left town. But you have to start hanging out with the first monsters you can find.” Gotta love Alice!
~
Pg. 389 Tugs at my heart strings. We all knew Bella lost herself when the Cullen’s left, but here Bella displays just how deeply lost she felt. “Our leaving didn’t do you any good at all, did it?” “That was never the point, though, was it? It’s not like you left for my benefit.” “Well…I guess I acted impulsively today. I probably shouldn’t have intruded.” I could feel the blood draining from my face. My stomach dropped. “Don’t go, Alice,” I whispered. My fingers locked around the collar of her white shirt and I began to hyperventilate. “Please don’t leave me.”
~P
g. 390 Jacob calls (oh boy) “Charlie?” “No, its me.” “Jake!” “Just making sure you were still alive.” “I’m fine. I told you that it wasn’t-” “Yeah. I got it. Bye.” All right all my wolf lovers, what cha got to say about that? I’m going to leave it alone, the boy is hurting enough.
~
Yay! Alice is spending the night. Alice finally goes to hunt (thank goodness, I was getting a bit nervous) How cute is it when Alice kisses Bella on the cheek, then bounces to get some wildlife.
~
Pg. 400 We finally get some insight to Alice’s background. “My name was Mary Alice Brandon. I had a little sister named Cynthia. Her daughter- my niece- is still alive in Biloxi.” “Did you find out why they put you in…that place?” What would drive parents to that extreme? Even if their daughter saw visions of the future. “I couldn’t find much about them. I went through all the old newspapers on microfiche. My family wasn’t mentioned often; they weren’t part of the social circle that made the papers. My birth was announced…and my death. I found my grave. I also filched my admissions sheet from the old asylum archives. The date on the admission and the date on my tombstone are the same.”
~
Pg. 403 Jacob Black arrives the next day, and we learn that Alice’s visions go “blind” when the werewolves come around.
~
This has been a long day and a very long post. I have tried to add as much as I could. Now it’s all on you…I can’t wait until I read your comments.
8 DAYS! 8 More Days people!

Community New Moon Reread

Chapter 16: Paris

“It was a black car-a car I knew. I might be the furthest thing from an autophile, but I could tell you everything about that particular car. It was a Mercedes S55 AMG. I knew the horsepower and the color of the interior. I knew the feel of the powerful engine purring through the frame. I knew the rich smell of the leather seats and the way the extra-dark tint made noon look like dusk through those windows.”

~S
hh, she’s coming. Tomorrow my lovlies! I had to do that guys, I just had to. Let’s just get through this chapter & be fair to the wolf pack lovers after all they have been excellent in this book.

~F
irst of all Jacob does an amazing job, saving Bella from drowning. This better be in the movie and I want detailed scenes!
~B
ad news. Harry Clearwater has a heart attack.
~ I t
hought it was too cute when Jacob & Bella went back to the Blacks’ home, Jacob didn’t even stretch out across his bed, he simply crashed on the floor of all places, next to Bella’s feet. Loyal!
~B
ella reflected on Romeo & Juliet for too many pages for my taste & I simply skipped it all.
~
It’s official. Harry Clearwater has died.
~Pg 374-375 Bella finally professes her love for Jacob (In her own Bella way). “I couldn’t imagine my life without Jacob now-I cringed away from the idea of even trying to imagine that. Somehow, he’d become essential to my survival. But to leave things the way they were…was that cruel, as Mike had accused? I remembered wishing that Jacob were my brother. I realized now that all I really wanted was a claim on him. It didn’t feel brotherly when he held me like this. It just felt nice-warm and comforting and familiar. Safe. Jacob was a safe harbor.” “I would have to commit to this-commit as much of me as there was left, every one of the broken pieces. It was the only way to be fair to him. Would I? Could I? Would it be so wrong to try to make Jacob happy? Even the love I felt for him was no more than a weak echo of what I was capable of, even if my heart as far away, wandering and grieving after my fickle Romeo, would it be so very wrong?"
~P
g. 376 Even though he has proved it over and over, I think this is where it finally sunk in for me, just how deep Jacob’s love for Bella truly is. “Sorry I know you don’t feel exactly the way I do Bells. I swear I don’t mind. I’m just so glad you’re okay that I could sing-and that’s something no one wants to hear.”
~P
g. 377 “What’s wrong?” “Vampire.” His eyes were wild, raking the dark street. He barely seemed aware of the tremors that were rolling through his body. “Phase or get her out of here?” Ok folks this is freaky. Who is Jacob talking to? This is the thing that scares me about young wolves, they aren’t completely in control of their emotions yet. I honestly thought Jake was going to morph right then and there and fly out of the truck window.
~P
g. 379 Attention: The honeymoon is over. This is where it all goes south for me, and where my love/hate relationship with Jacob begins. “There’s a vampire in your house, and you want to go back?” “Of course.” “You’re sure it’s not a trick?” “It’s not a trick. It’s Carlisle. Take me back!” “No. Take yourself back, Bella…Bye Bella, I really hope you don’t die.” Wtf? Seriously Jacob? Was all that necessary?
~P
g. 381 “Suddenly something Jacob had told me this afternoon echoed in my head, finally sinking in…” She took off into the water, he’d said. The bloodsuckers have the advantage there. That’s why I raced home-I was afraid she was going to double back swimming.” My hand froze in its searching, my whole body froze into place, as I realized why I recognized the strange orange color in the water. Victoria’s hair, blowing wild in the wind, the color of fire. She’d been there. Right there in the harbor with me and Jacob. If Sam hadn’t been there, if it has been just the two of us…?”

Community New Moon Reread (Catch up!)

Chapter 15: Pressure
“It was spring in Forks again. When I woke up on Monday morning, I lay in bed for a few seconds absorbing that. Last spring break, I’d been hunted by a vampire, too. I hoped this wasn’t some kind of tradition forming…”

Can you feel the intensity? Pressure is definitely the perfect name for this chapter. Everything that happens is so surreal, let’s get right to it.

~F
irst of all, after all this time Mike Newton still won’t give it a rest, Bella doesn’t want you!
~Jacob explains to Bella that all of their wounds heal at a rapid pace (which I think is way awesome)
~I'd f
orgotten that Billy nearly ended up like Emily when Jacob first morphed into a wolf
~We learn that Jake & Quil are actually second cousins
~Pg. 348 This is the part that has me a little miffed. When Bella spills the beans about the Cullens “extra talents” yes they were gone, and she never knew if they were ever going to return, but still it’s not your business to tell, and Jacob as her friend should’ve never asked her in the first place, because at this point it’s neither here nor there, what Alice, Jasper or Edward’s special talents are.
~
Pg. 358 Hallucinations are back yay! “Bella.” “Yes.” “Don’t do this.” “You wanted me to be human…watch me.” “Please. For me.” “But you won’t stay with me any other way.” “Please.” And then I flung myself off the cliff.
~Bella gives up and begins to drown
~I’m really shocked that Bella actually jumped off the cliff. It’s so not…Bella. She’s just not that gutsy or adventurous to me. I think it’s an excellent representation of just how desperate she is for any piece of Edward she can get a hold of…even if it entails jumping off a cliff into ice cold waters… *sigh*
Chapter 14: Family
"Again they reminded me of brothers, quadruplets. Something about the way they moved almost in synchronization to stand across the road from us, the way they all had the same long, round muscles under the same red brown skin, the same cropped black hair, and the way their expressions altered at exactly the same moment." Bring on the action! Finally some goodies, let’s get right to it.

~This is the first time we get to see just how bad of a temper (super hot drool worthy) Paul has.
~pg. 325 Stephenie Meyer once again does an excellent job on describing the transformation of human Paul into his wolf form. "Paul roared in outrage. Another shudder, a convulsion, heaved through his body. He threw his head back, a real growl tearing from between his teeth. Paul seemed to fall forward, vibrating violently. Halfway to the ground, there was a loud ripping noise, and the boy exploded. Dark silver fur blew out from the boy, coalescing into a shape more than five-times his size-a massive, crouched shape, ready to spring. The wolf's muzzle wrinkled back over his teeth, and another growl rolled through his colossal chest. His dark, enraged eyes focused on me."
~The fight scene. Jake & Paul go at it jack! I mean they get to scrappin!
~Aren’t Jared & Embry just so awesome?
~Pg. 329 My favorite quote from Embry: "She runs with vampires."
~We are formally introduced to Emily Young & her awful facial scars. Emily is Sam Uley’s fiancee and Leah Clearwater’s cousin.
Muffins yum!
~Pg. 332 For once Bella serves up some sassiness when Emily doesn’t seem too pleased to see Bella in her kitchen. 'She stared at me, and neither half of her once beautiful face was friendly. "So you’re the vampire girl." I stiffened. "Yes. Are you the wolf girl?" '
~Pg. 333 We finally get a closer look into the loving relationship between Sam & Emily. 'The front door opened, and Sam stepped through. "Emily," he said, and so much love saturated his voice that I felt embarrassed, intrusive, as I watched him cross the room in one stride and take her face in his wide hands. He leaned down and kissed the dark scars on her right cheek before he kissed her lips.' I hope they show that scene!
~Now the secret is out. Everybody knows about everybody. There are no more secrets, now the drama can begin. What are your thoughts or feelings on this chapter? Also if anyone has any good theories, you know I’m always ready to hear them.
Chapter 13: Killer
This chapter basically gets you all caught up on things if you haven’t been following.
~Bella confronts Jacob on being a werewolf.
~It’s official Laurent is indeed dead, the wolf pack did kill him.
~Victoria is on the warpath testing her boundaries in the town, in order to get to Bella.
~We learn that in their wolf form, all the wolves can hear each other, speak to each other & read each others thoughts (freaky).
~Pg. 321 “Who’s afraid of the big bad wolf” I had to throw that in there.
~While this chapter wasn’t action packed, it sure did have a lot of drama going on, not to mention all the knowledge we gained about the wolves. What are your favs from this chapter?

Community New Moon Reread

Chapter 12: Intruder
“A huge, dark shape wobbled erratically on the other side of the glass, lurching toward me like it was going to smash right through. I staggered back, terrified, my throat closing around a scream…Victoria.”

So much went down in this chapter, let’s get right to it!!

~
Yayyyyy Jake’s a werewolf, did ya guess?
~I
love how Stephenie Meyer goes back to some “Twilight” quotes when Bella is rewinding the conversation she & Jacob had at LaPush beach.
~Bella finally realizes that she may just not be wound too tightly, after all she can attract the strangest set of people, cant she?
~I love how Bella really shows her love for her father, when Charlie tells her he has to go and check on the wolf situation, and maybe kill one of them, besides her flipping out on Edward in the hospital bed in Twilight, we hadn’t really seen Bella this riled up…ever.
~I like how Jacob shows off his acrobatic skills when swinging into Bella’s bedroom window without making a sound, then when he leaves he passes that annoying squeaky step on the staircase.
~
I’m just finally happy all this guessing and torture is over. Jake’s a wolf, now let’s get on with it already. I need Jake & Paul to fight, I want the kitchen scene with the huge blueberry muffins, & I need Volterra!

Community New Moon Reread

Chapter 11: Cult
“It was his expression that made him almost completely unrecognizable. the open, friendly smile was gone like the hair, warmth in his eyes altered to a brooding resentment that was instantly disturbing. There was a darkness in Jacob now. Like my sun had imploded…”

N
ot too much happening in this chapter besides Stephenie Meyer making us go insane wondering what the hell is up with Jacob, even though we know.

~S
am Uley annoys me as always, it is what it is
~Again with Billy’s behavior now he & Charlie are going at it
~Now the whole hallucination theory, after reading New Moon 3 times I finally saw the light & deduced that it was Bella’s subconscious playing tricks on her into thinking Edward was there in some ghost form or another, hell if I know. But how would Bella’s mind tell her to allow Jacob to calm down if she didn’t already know what he was? Yes we know it’s bad news bears to get them upset, because then they may morph into a wolf, but she didn’t know that yet. Hmmm
~
Now back to Billy Black. Had he handled the situation with Jacob differently, maybe things wouldn’t have blown up the way they had between him & Charlie. It’s called damage control Mr. Black!

L
ike I said not much really happening in this chapter, but it’s just enough to get my blood boiling and having the hairs on the backs of our necks stand straight up. What are your feelings about this chapter? Only 14 more days!

Community New Moon Reread

ONLY 15 MORE DAYS UNTIL THE RELEASE OF NEW MOON.
Chapter 10: The Meadow
“There was nothing special about this place without “him”. I wasn’t exactly sure what I’d hoped to feel here, but the meadow was empty of atmosphere, empty of everything, just like everywhere else. Just like my nightmares…”

We all know this is the chapter that gets the ball rolling, so without any further ado here goes:

~Jacob gets “mono” (sure, sure - we all know what happens)
~
This is the first mention of Harry Clearwater’s impending heart condition, and while Harry really doesn’t have a major roll in the saga, don’t cha just love the old guy? I mean his fish fry is famous for goodness sake! Not to mention we all love his family, yes even Leah. Wolf Girl.
~I'm starting to not really like Billy Black. I
do understand that Billy has to protect the secret of the wolf pack, but he is being unacceptably rude to Bella on the phone, hanging up on her all the time, some adult he is.
~Charlie's starting to bug me too. He overreacts at some of the most rediculous things, he also under reacts at Bella's unbelievable and rediculous plans for the day. How is she a terrible liar, but she can pull the "wool" over a police chief's eyes?

~The hallucinations are back! But so is Laurent…yikes
~This is the first time since he left, that Bella actually speaks Edward’s name.
~Pg. 240 “You must not mean very much to him if he left you here unprotected.” Ouch! I still love the blunt truth Jacob gives!
~
Pg. 241 “I’m quite thirsty, and you do smell…simply mouthwatering.” (I had to throw that one in for you guys.)
~Victoria proves herself to be boss, since she sent Laurent to Forks to get a lay of the land. I feel she always knew she would be putting him in danger by sending him back there. I feel it was done purposely, she kills two birds with one stone so to speak; she gets Laurent to do her dirty work, & also gets revenge on him for befriending the Cullen’s. That’s one of my theories, what are yours?

We are nearly half way there buddies!!! Hang on it only get’s better!

Community New Moon Reread

I am finally on chapter 8 & 9 of the countdown, which means 16 days till the release of New Moon.
Chapter 8: Adrenaline
'The motorcycle was better than I’d dreamed. It had served it’s purpose. I’d cheated-broken my promise. I’d been needlessly reckless. I felt a little less pathetic now that the promises had been broken on both sides.'
Chapter 9: Third Wheel

Ahhh the bike chapter! I love the bike chapter. The reminiscent memories, and i love how much detail Stephenie Meyer has given us, when it comes to breaks, the clutch & throttle of the bikes, not to mention the very detailed account of Bella’s emotions as she prepares for her first official ride.

Here are some of my favorite highlights from this chapter:
· Jacob shirtless in Bella’s truck on the way to the ER, ok – ok there you guys happy now? I for sure wantto see that part in the movie!
· Quote from pg. 190 - 'By the way,' he added (Jacob) 'I'm going to disconnect your foot brake tonight.'
· Quote from pg. 192 'Jacob really did look older than sixteen-not quite forty, but maybe older than me. Quil didn’t have too much on him in the muscles department, for all that Jacob claimed to be a skeleton. The muscles were the long wiry kind, but they were definitely there under the smooth skin. His skin was such a pretty color, it made me jealous. Jacob notice my scrutiny. 'What?' He asked, suddenly self-conscious. 'Nothing. I just hadn’t realized before. Did you know, you’re sort of beautiful?' Once the words slipped out, I worried that he might take my impulsive observation the wrong way. But Jacob rolled his eyes. 'You hit your head pretty hard, didn’t you.' 'I’m serious.' 'Well, then, thanks. Sort of.' I grinned. 'Your sort of welcome.' - Word for word... PLEASE!
· Jacob & Bella go on their hiking trip to find 'The Meadow.'
This chapter I totally hate Bella for some reason. I thought she should've been a bit more tactful on who she played on Jacob's emotions and his feelings towards her. She could’ve been a bit more convincing because the kid feels overconfident in being able to win her over. At the same time, Jacob sets himself up for heartbreak. Bella shuts him down & yet he still comes back for more and that’s the foundation of their relationship throughout the entire saga. Bella tells Jacob no, but he doesn’t care, he pursues her relentlessly again and again, then gives her attitude when she doesn’t return love the way he wants her to. Bella also adds fuel to the flame by continuously being there everyday, acting basically like a girlfriend to Jacob…an unfair situation for the both of them, she needs him & he wants her. But you play with fire and you will get burned every time…

These are some quick favs of mine in this chapter:

· Jacob finishes 'The Rabbit!' yes! I can't wait to see it

· I think it’s hilarious to picture Jacob & Bella riding in the front of the rabbit, while poor Mike is the third wheel sitting in the back. Mike is forced to steal Bella’s attention by putting his face on her seat, nearly touching her cheek! Gosh this kid can’t take a hint, whats with these Forks guys?

· Pg. 212 this is where Jacob could’ve saved himself two and a half books of heartache. - 'Sure enough as soon as I sat down, he shifted over to put his arm around my shoulders. 'Jake,' I protested, leaning away. He dropped his arm, not looking bothered at all by the minor rejection. He reached out and took my hand firmly, wrapping his other hand around my wrist when I tried to pull away again. Where did he get the confidence from? 'Now, just hold on a minute, Bella,' he said in a calm voice. 'Tell me something.' 'What?' 'You like me, right?' 'You know I do.' 'Better than that joker puking his guts out in there?' 'Yes.' 'Better than any of the guys you know?' 'Better than the girls, too.' 'But thats all.' It was hard to answer, to say the word. Would he get hurt and avoid me? How would I stand that? 'Yes,' I whispered. 'That’s okay, you know. As long as you like me best. And your think I’m good looking-sort of. I’m prepared to be annoyingly persistent.' And that he is, goodness he is.

Mistake 1,785,204. At this point Bella should’ve let Jacob down gently, but firmly. I personally don’t think it would’ve been too bad, he already has one up on poor Mike Newton who was in the bathroom puking up his entire insides. Like I said Bella used no tact when it came to Jacob or his feelings. It would’ve behooved her to do so, but once again I feel she was being selfish because then she would be alone if Jake decided to cut her off completely for not reciprocating on those feelings.

· Pg. 213 Bella does try, but I feel it’s a little too late. This is where Jacob sets himself up for heartache as well. 'I’m not going to change.' 'It’s still the other one isn’t it?' 'You don’t have to talk about it.' 'But don’t get mad at me for hanging around okay?' 'Because I’m not giving up, I’ve got loads of time.' 'You shouldn’t waste it on me,' I said, though I wanted him to. "It’s what I want to do, as long as you still like to be with me.' 'I can’t imagine how I could not like being with you.' 'I can live with that.' 'Just don’t expect more.'

See the flip flopping, and back peddling? Also actions speak louder than words. Bella can say no all she wants, while no means no in every sense of the word, she constantly displays a constant need for Jacob. And Jacob, already head over heels in love with Bella, is desperate for any form of company and affection she will give him.

Long Post, some cool stuff...

17 more days until the release of New Moon!

I've decided to start re - reading the book until the premiere day (and of course after.) I decided to start with chapter seven. It was where the bookmark was so, I started to read.
Chapter 7: Repetition
Three words: Cullen. House. Empty. Let's get four words in their, no five: Cullen. House. Empty. Field. Trip.

Though not to action packed, this chapter gives us some key knowlodge and an introduces some of the characters that have a huge impact on Bella later down the line. When Bella visits the Cullen's house, the emptiness gives me the creeps "a fitting haunt for vampires..." she states. "I stopped when I got to the porch stairs, because there was nothing here. No lingering sense of their presence, of his presence. The house was solidly here, but it meant little." "I didn't go any closer. I didn't want to look in the windows. I wasn't sure which would be harder to see. If the rooms were bare, echoing empty from floor to ceiling, that would certainly hurt. But wouldn’t it be worse if there were no change? If the couches sat just as I’d last seen them, the paintings on the walls-worse still, the piano on its low platform? It would be second only to the house disappearing all together, to see that there was no physical possession that tied them in anyway. That everything remained, untouched and forgotten behind them. Just like me." *gasp*

T
his book, not just this chapter is a heart breaker for me. I've never had a guy I'm very infatuated with, (and there have been plenty) that have left. I haven't had an Edward (so to speak) that hasn't left, and I haven't had a Jacob to come and save the day. But in some way, it feels like I can relate. Here are...

5
- count em' 5! Reasons I can relate to Bella in some form or another.

01.

This is on a very bright note. I <3 the fact how Angela and Ben turn out to be True Blue friends... I've had my fair share of Jessica Stanelys, but I've got my Angela's and Ben's. (I can tell you I wasn't a Zombie for four months because my super - duper hot Vampire boyfriend's brother tried to attack me and they left because of it.) I haven't even had a guy leave. But I've had my days. I like how Mike even shows the guts to ask Bella out on the date...
PLEASE SHOW THE THEATER SCENE!

02.
I too, do and don't have a Jacob. I had a great guy friend my first year of college...When I'd feel bummed, blue, panicked, or just needing a pick - me - up, my guy - friend was just like Jacob in this line: (This is after she's been at the Cullen's house...) I pushed my truck as fast as it would go as I barreled toward my fix. Jacob was waiting for me. My chest seemed to relax as soon as I saw him, making it easier to breathe. "Hey Bella," he called. I smiled in relief. "Hey, Jacob." I waved at Billy, who was looking out the window.

03.
I love Jacob's humor. I think it's funny, and I know some pretty funny kids, people...IE: Jake referring to the LaPush gang as 'hall monitors gone bad!'

04.

"Here's to responsibility," he toasted. "Twice a week." I have my friends to keep me partially responsible... ;0

05.

~In this chapter, we get to be introduced to the cliff - diving scene, we all know how it turns out...I've had my share of those moments!
~We are finally formally introduced to Ephraim Black & the story of Sam Uley & 'The Protectors.'

Taylor Lautner was looking hot, damn fine.. You catch my drift, walking around LA today... Please February 11th come already! We need this boy to be 18!

Also...

Rihanna's new single Hard, featuring Young Jeezy was reportedly 'leaked' a while back. Here's a link to Perez Hilton's website. Click
here! It's huh-mazing!

Attack of the Wolves Part 3: Meet Chaske Spencer

Wolf Week concludes! Earlier this week, VF.com introduced two of Twilight’s Quileute Indian werewolves turned heartthrobs—Alex Meraz and Kiowa Gordon—and today we bring you another exclusive Q&A, this one with the pack’s alpha wolf: Chaske Spencer. We recently called him at his Brooklyn apartment, where he talked about the hurricane of stardom, the brotherhood he shares with his fellow wolves, and just what kind of music the pack listens to while pumping iron.

VF.com:

How did you get the part of Wolf Pack leader, Sam Uley? It was one of the weirdest auditions I’ve done. We put it on tape, and usually the process is: you meet the casting director, get a callback, then you meet the producer and director. This just went straight from tape. I auditioned for all of the parts of the Wolf Pack; they called me back and told me what part I had. Also, I didn’t really know who [the character] was because I didn’t know much about Twilight. Then I figured it out and said, “Wow, that’s a really good part.” It’s amazing. I’ve never gotten a part like that before.
Once you got the part, did you go back and read the books? Yeah, I started with New Moon. Then I started dabbling in Eclipse because there’s a lot of back-story to my character. I really tried to relate to those characters, do my job … and then go to the gym.
How much time did you have between finding out you got the role and actually starting shooting? Not much—about three weeks. They got us a trainer and really started throwing us into the work, into working out, which was with a gentleman who helped out on 300. I was pretty psyched about that; it was really tough. I was [already] in shape, but when he got his hands on me, it was a whole different beast altogether. I put on 25 pounds in those two months. It just happened—one day, I stepped out of the shower, took a look at myself, and I didn’t recognize my own body.
You all went through this together as a pack, too. Yeah, that was the one thing that was really cool; it did bond us. We’re unknowns, and we couldn’t tell anyone for a month that we were cast. So we just talked to each other, made sure we kept each other in check, got competitive with one another. It was like [we were] brothers. I gained so many family members through this, which I’m really grateful for.
So you were this unknown actor living in New York who suddenly found himself on the set of this huge studio blockbuster. What was that like? It’s so surreal, I mean, I’m feeling it right now! On the film sets of New Moon and Eclipse, I feel safe. It’s like you’re in the center of the hurricane, but outside is where it starts to get chaotic. I would say that, in the last few days, I started noticing that I’m in this huge franchise. I’m going to be in one of the biggest movies of the year, and it’s a little surreal, frightening, and exciting all together. It’s like one big roller-coaster ride.
What are you doing to prepare for it? No one can give you a book on how to deal with it. There’s not much you can do about it except for just having a good head on your shoulders. You have to go on your own and figure it out.
Like many of the other wolves, you have your own Twitter page, too. It’s really cool. It’s like being in this rock band. It’s nothing like I’ve ever done before on any film or play—you really interact with the fans. I Twitter for the Twilight fans. I can write where I’m going, what I’m doing—I try to keep it general so I don’t give too much away—and the fans are great! They’re really excited about it; some even know more about me than I do myself!
Speaking of rock bands, Kiowa Gordon said you got him listening to Phoenix and Grizzly Bear. Kiowa and Tyson Houseman are really into music, and we talk about that. I’m really into discovering new music. I’m a drummer, and I live with a musician—he’s in a band called The 5 O’Clock Heroes. I’m not just plugging him because he’s my roommate; his band is really good. He introduces me to all of the cool new bands, and we’ve had musicians coming over to our apartment for a while now. I like this new cat, Liam Finn, who I heard about in Australia. I also just got the New Moon soundtrack, and I’m really impressed! I think it’s amazing. I’ve been listening to it all day actually. I like Band of Skulls, and I’ve been a fan of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club for years now. This is going to be my album for the month.
What did the wolves listen to during workouts? I brought my iPod in, and I had tracks that would help us get through the workout. We played the Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” Metallica’s “Orion,” ACDC—that really pumped us up—some Guns N’ Roses, Soundgarden, Nirvana. I like to workout to a lot of hip-hop, too.
You’re the oldest wolf in the pack. Yeah, and it’s funny: I play the alpha wolf, the leader, and I kind of fell into that role. I don’t know how that happens. But I am the oldest—I had a few films under my belt—and I kind of helped some of the other guys. I’m very protective of them. If anyone tried to hurt them, I’d probably go ballistic. They’re good guys. We take care of one another. It was like freshman coming into high school; we were the new group. We all come from different backgrounds, too. We’re Native Americans and we have a different outlook on things. We didn’t come to mess around; we came with our A-game, and we definitely made sure our presence was known.
What is your Native American background? I’m Lakota Sioux. What’s cool is that Stephenie [Meyer]’s written this amazing story that is more contemporary Native American. It’s not like I was wearing leather and feathers, which I’ve been used to doing. I didn’t have to go too much into my own background.
You said in your Twitter feed: “I love being a wolf!” [Laughs] I like my role. When I was a kid, I was into the Anne Rice novels, but I never got to discover werewolves until this. What I like is that it’s given me a new body, actually. The workouts and all of that stuff—who doesn’t want to be a werewolf? (It’s tongue-in-cheek when I say stuff like that.)
When this is all over, what kind of movies do you want to make? I just look at the kind of actors I really like; I like Gene Hackman. The actors I admire are character actors. I just want to do really good work. I mean, this is huge. I really don’t know what I can do after this! Go the independent route maybe.
Let’s do some wordplay. Please give one word to describe each of the actors you work with in New Moon, starting with: Alex Meraz [“Paul”]. Primal. Bronson Pelletier [“Jared”]. Jokester. Kristen Stewart [“Bella Swan”]. Fighter. Gil Birmingham [“Billy Black”]. Heart-and-soul. Tyson Houseman [“Quil Ateara”]. Intelligent. Kiowa Gordon [“Embry Call”]. Goofy. Taylor Lautner [“Jacob Black”]. Loveable.

Photoshoot with Kellan Lutz and Nikki Reed

New Moon on-screen couple Kellan Lutz (aka Emmett Cullen) and Nikki Reed (aka Rosalie Hale) were recently photographed for Nylon Magazine. What a gorgeous shoot!

Nylon Mag gives us a sneak peek of their interview with Kellan and Nikki -

“We were just making a little independent film in Portland,” says Nikki Reed of the movie that changed her life. “I don’t know what happened.”

What happened is that Twilight exploded from a book beloved by teenage girls to become one of the cultural phenomenons of a decade. The film grossed nearly $400 million worldwide and made tabloid staples of stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, and, increasingly, the rest of the cast too. Reed, who plays vampire Rosalie Hale, shakes her head increedulously: “We’ve lived this entire year in shock.”

If you want to read the rest of the interview you’ll have to pick up a copy of the November issue of Nylon Magazine!

Thanks to http://www.newmoonmovie.org/ for the pictures!

10 things i'm happy i've learned

10 things i've learned about myself lately

# 10
i've learned to take what the world throws at me [please not too hard]

# 09
i've learned that Life can be short, so live well, laugh often, love sweetly

# 08
i've learned that kids are the bomb dot com! They don't care if John broke up with Jane.
They don't care if the dress Jane is wearing isn't the next big thing.
All they care about is the toy they're going to play with and food! Sometimes even
pooping and sleeping.

# 07
i've learned to accept things as they are. Sometimes things aren't set in stone.
Other times they are.

# 06
i've learned...
i can't change things that have happened.
My mistakes are my mistakes, but
other peoples' mistakes are their mistakes
.

# 05
i've learned to smile 8) It's the best look anyone can give you.

# 04
i've learned that boys can be
stupid, careless, hurtful, dumb, thoughtless

But i've also learned that we can be
spiteful, vindictive, crazy, hormonal, rude, tiring, hateful, careless, hurtful, thoughtless

# 03
i've learned that it isn't worth it unless you make it that way

# 02
i've learned to put my faith in someone. Sometimes i loose that faith, but i can still work towards regaining that faith

last but not least...

# 01
i've learned that if i sometimes loose faith in others, i still need to keep the faith in myself...

This was going to be a RIP blog, for the last day of Cena being on RAW. Even I had my doubts when it came to the thought of John beating Randy Orton. Yesterday, 'U Can't see me Cena' most definitely won!

Let me tell you, Randy Orton is PSYCHOTIC!

John Cena made a deal with the devil, so to speak a couple weeks back on Monday Night Raw. He wanted a rematch against Randy for the WWE Champ title and belt...In the rematch deal, it was an Iron Match. Which means anything goes. An hour, two men and they can use everything from the crowd, the floor, the tables, chairs, weapons. Randy went a little to far that night, from what I heard. I don't have pay per view, so I couldn't watch it... BOOO...

Anyhoo... The evil bastard, made John apart of the Pyrotechy stuff for the show... Almost permanently... You could see the crowd was shocked, and Randy, well he's lost it...

ITS AN F***ING BELT!! GO make one...

I guess there was even a little blood shed.. Maybe I'm glad I didn't watch it, because supposedly RAW doesn't like blood shed either.

'Last night when I beat Randy Orton, I think I earned the right to say NO!!!' - His epic quote on Monday Raw - when some stupid tag team, what was their name? Oh yeah Leagacy. When the stupid tag team Legacy challenged --- Wait for it... JOHN CENA, for his freshly won title of WWE against Randy Orton... Thank you Mr. Cena. This takes the saying, just say neooo! to the next level..

I <3 U! John Cena, you're my hero...I'd let him protect me! NO... I don't love you...I <3 U SO much!

He said some other stuff, and then left the stage, to reveal Legacy's newest opponent. The stupid tag team Legacy... would fight Mark Henry and MVP. [Big Boy!] Here's how the show has gone so far...

The big show and Chris Jericho are reliving their wins, and how the Big show basically screwed over his partner in their matches on pay per view last night. The two youngest nascar winners, who guest host tonight, bring in their entrance, of peeling in - in their race cars, and then getting into the ring. After a little banter, the two hosts announced that 'The Big Show' and Triple H, [The opponent that 'The Big Show' screwed over,] would have a rematch. After that, there's a break...

When you come back to the show, there's a DIVA tag team fight, guy and diva against guy and diva.

Legacy, starts to talk to Randy Orton, and bribe him with a promise that they'd take the title from John Cena, or at least fight him, with giving him a racecar. With his body [Randy Orton's] on the hood. Seriously... Go look in an F***ing mirror... Question??? Who would want to watch someone in underwear?? Can't say I do. Me, I'm more of a bare skin and jean shorts kind of girl. Throw in some knee pads, and voila! I'm set.

So then the ref is scolding one of the guys from legacy and MVP has one of the other legacy guys... [I know, I'm great with names] has him pinned, and the stupid ref doesn't notice him pinned until later. Luckily MVP pinned him for the three seconds!

Note: This is all before match... Legacy looses against MVP and Mark Henry... Randy Orton comes out pissed off that he can't get a rematch with John Cena, and then claims he'll go to the board of directors to get a rematch...On the big screen, then comes out Kofi Kingston... He says and I almost quote. 'Don't you get it, it's over. No one cares about what you think.' Randy wanted him to say it to his face, and Kofi says, I am. He's standing on the brand new racecar that Legacy gave to Randy Orton.. He then proceeded to ruin and trash that nice nascar car with his ugly face!! Woot Woot! He keyed, brought out a big crow bar ['Oh, do you have a bug on your hood. Let me fix that Randy.'] Man Randy looked pissed. It looked like he was throwing a few F Bombs too. I guess he just needed to vent [Kofi Kingston that is.] Randy Orton aparently rammed Kofi Kingston into the stage during his Iron Match against John Cena... It wasn't going very good.

The next fight was The Miz against Evan Bourne. There was some girl... A guest ring announcer, one of the DIVA championships. Jack swagger comes out, and starts flirting with the girl, saying 'No one's watching you, because they're watching Missy (I think) [the girl] look at me, no they're watching me look at her. Evan Bourne gets out of the ring to confront the other idiot Jack Swagger, and then wins by a count out after The Miz comes out and does a big drop from the top of the ring ropes to the floor on top of the wonderful Jack Swagger, and Evan Bourne.

After the commercial, they announce this new comer... The Celtic Wonder... This freaky looking guy who's freaking tall. [And note: He's got a terrible accent.] ANY WAYS.. Sheamus, the Celtic Wonder, was brutal... He was picking his opponent, Jamie somethin or another up. Dude he was brutal!!!

Now, here's the fight I loved the best. Really unifying a team. The match between Degeneration X's Triple H and the Big show... Supposedly 'The Big Show' totally screwed over his team... They start to circle each other, and Triple H comes up, and interrupts the fight to say, it has become a lumberjack fight...Sean Michaels - the other half of DX [Degeneration X] comes out to say that it's a lumberjack fight, against the whole Raw Team Roster, and it's a no disqualification match. That means that the whole team that The Big Show screwed over, could do anything to him. MY KIND OF MATCH...[When my favorite wrestler isn't fighting...] Sean Michaels excuses the ref, as the king of the Raw Locker room John - U CAN'T SEE ME - Cena is the guest ref. Let me tell you... John Cena looks good in stripes... Ref stripes.

They went to commercial break, and after that I guess it went down hill for a little while. Here's the question of all questions...How do you take down a 485 lb, 7 foot man? Yes, 'The Big Show' is that weight and height. can't believe it. Sometimes they're crazy. But John can! He even took a turn and slammed him down for a second... It was almost close when Triple H gave him a DX Chop, but then some how they got him to the mat, and Evan Bourne does the coolest back flip from the ring post on to, Mr. 'The Big Show,' Sean Michaels took a turn to the aid of his partner, and TRIPLE H WINS!

The Raw Locker room unified to take down the big show and his betrayal at bragging rights last night... Right before the show ends.. The co - hosts come out, to tell John who his next opponent is for the title... Some little midget came out, and for a second I thought, hey he can do it... Then, as they're standing together, [Sean Michaels, John Cena, and Triple H] they announce that John will go against Sean Michael and Triple H in a survivor series... I'M ADDICTED...

Here are the people I love looking at and watching:

-John Cena of course... There's something about him.. Especially the way he's so giving to fans... He's a big part of Make a wish foundation, as is Raw. I also like his look.. He doesn't wear underwear... He wears jean shorts, knee pads to be safe, shoes, and his green arm sweatband... Love his look!
-Kofi Kingston - need I say more.. His name draws you.. That's how it was for me...
-Jack Swagger the all american american... [kind of redundant, but still, fun to watch] His cocky ways are going to get him, and his sort of cute looks in trouble. I'd like him to go against John Cena or Randy Orton.. No, maybe not Randy Orton... No one deserves to fight against spawn of Satan... even someone as stupid and redundant and stupid, and idiotic as Jack Swagger. Idiota, estúpido. Need I say more...he's a stupid idiot!
-The Miz [cute.. really good looking.] The little rivalry he has with Jack Swagger is rediculous.. It's as rediculous as the one between Randy Orton and John Cena was. Maybe they'll be the next Randy and John Rivalry, or maybe not...
-Evan Bourne [Never mind.. Evan is cuter than The Miz...]
-Chris Jericho - picture Gollum blowing a raspberry in either the first, second or third movie when he's being offered food that he doesn't like.. That's what I have to say to you and it's mutual for The Big Show too.
-Triple H and Sean Michaels.. Degeneration X is growing on me!
-Shamus - Celtic Wonder....just the brutal strength is something to get your attention.. He said he was going to make his mark on his first time at Raw, and he did... with the viewer's and his opponent's back.

There are a lot of idiots here...

Just like John said, they do it for themselves, for the shiney belts, and for us!!! Yeah! I feel honored!

Next week to host...

Mr. And Mrs. Osborne - yes Ozzy and Sharon...
